What is PCIT?
PCIT is a specialized form of therapy for children under age 7 with disruptive behaviors. It is an evidence-based therapy that uses live coaching and a structured play environment for the parent and child. It combines play therapy, parent coaching, and behavior therapy. Unlike other therapies, PCIT involves live coaching (Charlene will be speaking through microphone to give suggestions in the moment). Unlike other therapy modalities, parents are in integral part of PCIT, learning techniques for behavior modification.
