L-R: Sam, Charlene, Sean, and Kaitlyn. Our CCTS team!

2025 is drawing to a close (somehow!) and 2026 is on the horizon. It's been a year for Caring Conversations and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on everything CCTS has been through.

The year started with Sean being featured on the Authentically You podcast (listen here) to talk about authenticity in relationships. It's a great listen, btw!

We were nominated for the Best in Westmoreland (thanks!)

We introduced "Walk and Talk" therapy with our walking pads in Sean's office. If you struggle to find time to exercise, or just wanna move during your sessions, you and Sean can walk on walking pads as you chat! With the introduction of Walk & Talk therapy, Sean moved into the larger office space.

In May, Sean was a presenter at Wendover Middle School's Wellness Day. Also in May, we welcomed Charlene to our team! Charlene is a breath of fresh air to our office. She is innovative, creative, fun, in addition to being highly qualified and experienced!

Over the Summer, we attended several events and networked all over the place! The Department of Human Services Resource Fair, opening of new businesses, Achieving True Self, Inclusive Connections, Blackburn Center, WCSI Pause & Play Event... we were busy. In July, we welcomed Sam to the CCTS team! Sam has a unique background; she was previously a school nurse, who discovered that the kids who came to her often came for emotional distress, not physical wellness. In August, we celebrated our 2nd "birthday" of CCTS. We celebrated with custom cookies! Can't go wrong with cookies, amiright?

In September, we were vendors for the first time at The Wellness Collective. We joined the Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce and have been having blast making connections there! We were also vendors at Experience Points' event, as well!

In October, we met with Chris from CP Music Instruction to chat some innovative ideas he has. We participated in Murrysville's Trunk or Treat on the Trail. We handed out over 300 "feelings trackers" to local kids!

In November, we hosted our first event! Coffee with a Counselor sought to normalize & humanize therapy by allowing the community to ask us anything. We hosted this event with our friends at Authentic Perspectives at the White Rabbit in Greensburg. We look forward to hopefully making this a recurring event in the area. Sean also attended the Center Ice Series.

In December, Sean attended the Chamber's Jingle & Mingle event and even won a prize! We celebrated our first company Holiday party at Bella Terra in a party dome. It was a wonderful way to wind down the year. We also have Peppermint the Elf visiting us and a holiday door decorating contest going on. We (obviously) think healing and therapy is soo important, but we also think we can make going to therapy a little fun, too.

All of this, is events and growth of the business. It doesn't touch on the people we've helped. I would never share anything even remotely related to client information, but we're honored to have helped more people over this year compared to 2024, and that is what truly matters :)

For 2026, I won't speak for Sean or the rest of our team, but I hope to see more growth and community relationships. We often say that we want you to find healing, even if it's not with us. To accomplish that goal, we need to maintain strong relationships within our community. I foresee us doing so much more of that in 2026 (email me if you want to collab!). Our team is also growing again! We are currently interviewing for another therapist position. Also on the horizon is potentially the second location of CCTS, we'll see. Whatever the year holds, I am confident in our team here at CCTS. Healing happens here, and we're honored to be part of your story.
